DKNY, has an extensive history including being sold to LVMH for $450 million back in 2000. Although no longer viewed in the most favorable light, the fashion house founded in 1985 helped revolutionize women's fashion in the '80s by creating women's apparel that was interchangeable for various occasions. The brand is a far cry from the force it once was when it came on the scene, but there still exist some interesting pieces from over the years.
These low-tops likely released around the turn of the century shortly after LVMH took over. The impact of this is evident as the style and silhouette have an undeniable European feel. The entire upper is comprised of smooth, high-quality leather and broken out into red and white panels. The DKNY branding on the upper is subtle, appearing only on the outside mid-panel, while the wing-like stitched pattern on the heel and light gum outsole provide some flare.
These are virtually non-existent so we do not have a name for them. If you can ID them, chime in the comments!
