2001 Nike Air Presto Chānjo Black/Red

Condition: Never Worn, comes with replacement box. Leather cracking slightly on the heel. Certain components will need a little glue after wear.

Marking another stage in the Presto evolution, the Air Presto Chānjo takes the slip-on idea a step further. The defining feature of the original design, The TPU cage, is eliminated along with the laces. All that was left of the original was a similar midsole and a lightweight mesh/neoprene upper made to hug your foot.

The shape of the Chānjo is a bit unusual. To compensate for the lack of support that the cage and laces would normally provide, the heel is inverted towards the toe for a more snug fit. The Nike branding is slightly tweaked as well. A "Chānjo" wordmark takes over the tongue and heel, the Presto P logo is stitched into the lateral side mesh, and swooshes are placed on all 4 sides.

Although never worn, this pair is over 20 years old and to be worn with care as with all vintage footwear. The soles may require glue after some wear, and the lifespan of the cage cannot be guaranteed. These are more of an archive / collectors item than a pair for your regular rotation.
