The Nike Air Pippen 1 was Scottie Pippen's first signature sneaker out of the six models in his line. Originally released in 1997, they were designed by Aaron Cooper. Over a decade later in 2008, they were retroed for the first time in both old and new colorways. Scottie was known for rocking some striking designs like the Air More Uptempo, and these certainly continued that theme.
This unforgettable design sits atop a full Air Max cushioning unit, and features zig-zag translucent streaks that cut through the tumbled leather upper to form Pippen's number 33. His nickname "PIP" is featured in his logo on both the tongue and back of the sneaker, but was never included on any subsequent Pippen models. This orange colorway is one you don't see very often and one of the first times they experimented with switching up the original colorways (Black/Red and White/Silver/Black).
