Pirelli's influence on footwear runs deeper than most realize. After a fatal 1935 Alpine expedition where six men died partly due to inadequate footwear, mountaineer Vitale Bramani approached Leopoldo Pirelli with an idea. Together they developed the first vulcanized rubber climbing sole, its tread pattern drawn directly from car tire technology. The result was the first ever Vibram sole, the Vibram Carrarmato ("tank") sole, proving motorsport engineering could solve challenges far beyond the road.

That spirit lives on in the P Zero Corsa. Part of Pirelli's early 2000s lifestyle collection, the shoe features a sole molded to mimic actual F1 and UHP tire tread. It's wrapped in a tricolor of white leather, green suede, and racing yellow, creating a livery stripe in sneaker form.
