The Nike Dunk High N2Winter Gore-Tex in Spanish Moss/Net–Baroque Brown marks one of the earliest instances of Nike adapting its classic Dunk silhouette for wet, winterized conditions. Released in the mid-2000s, this pair reflects a moment when technical materials like Gore-Tex were beginning to transition more deliberately into everyday lifestyle models.

Departing from a standard Dunk, the build is noticeably more robust: heavyweight, treated leather wraps the entire upper—including the tongue—while a Gore-Tex membrane works alongside Outlast Smart Fabric Technology to help retain warmth without causing the foot to overheat. A series of design tweaks reinforce the shoe’s purpose, including the absence of toe box perforations, punched metal eyelets, and a Gore-Tex tab at the lateral collar. The result is a distinctly fortified interpretation of the Dunk—adapting an icon to the elements at a time when few were asking it to.
