Launched in 2003, the Reebok x G-Unit line stands as one of the most commercially dominant sneaker collaborations in hip-hop history. Riding the meteoric rise of 50 Cent and his G-Unit collective, the original G6 shoe sold out within days of its initial release, a momentum sustained by 50's unusually hands-on approach to retail, reportedly visiting over 100 stores and sitting in on sales meetings.

While the G6 was the flagship of the collaboration, the line spanned multiple other models including the G XT, G6 Runner, a women's exclusive, and the underrated G-Unit Boot featured here. The boot has yet to receive an official retro, occupying the same territory as the classic Timberland boot and Nike Goadome, albeit without the notoriety and street recognition. The original boot dropped in a classic wheat colorway, but this pair opts for a two-tone mix of black nubuck and pink canvas, a contrast that feels just as bold as the collab itself. The partnership ultimately generated over $300 million for Reebok and reportedly earned 50 Cent upwards of $80 million, figures that cemented the collab as a blueprint for artist-driven footwear deals.
