Timberlands have long been a staple in the the urban fashion landscape dating back to the 1980s and 90s, when hip-hop artists and other cultural figures took a liking to them. Even today, the Timberland boot remains a timeless piece of footwear that you will see on any given street in NYC.

As a response to this, Nike pumped out various models under the ACG line to capture some of the interest in a boot built for the city. The ACG Mandara is a prime example. The overall shape and silhouette are nearly identical to the Timberland Field Boot. The materials are the same with buttery nubuck, canvas, and leather. The Mandara even has the same metal emblem on the outer sides, but of course it reads "waterproof" instead of Timberland.
