The Considered BB low was another early release from the legendary Considered line. The shoe has a fairly minimalist look; materials aren't hidden by heavy overlays or embellishments. There's a clean utilitarian feel, consistent with the project's sustainability mission. While it lacks the signature Considered woven detailing, it has its own set of memorable characteristics.
The BB low employs an inside-out construction, exposing the seams on the exterior, with the upper stitched into a single-piece molded sole unit. The outsole was designed to lock together, using water-based cements eliminating the need for toxic solvent-based adhesives. Environmentally preferred rubber was used in parts of the outsole, incorporating Nike Grind material – scavenged from leftover factory scraps. The primary material on the upper is a vegetable tanned leather sourced from tanneries that recycle wastewater to minimize environmental toxins. Like other early Considered models, the BB uses hemp laces with leather anglets in place of the usual plastic lace tips. The heel features a braided seam — a design element also found on the Chukka Boot, Mule, Mowabb, and CVT.
