2002 Nike Air Presto Gym PS Varsity Blue/Cyber-Navy

Obvious given its name, the Air Presto Gym was a cross training sneaker built for gym activities. It evolved the traditional Presto design language with a new take on the Air Presto’s TPU eyestay/cage and a more supportive collar.

The Gym edition featured various design changes, but the contrasting (neon) overlay jumps out as the most noticeable. It provided additional support and lockdown in the forefoot and a prominent location for the Presto logo. Other design tweaks included a wave pattern on the sock upper, a thicker midsole raising the overall profile of the silhouette, more pronounced arch support, and a completely different outsole for better traction.

Although barely worn, this pair is over 20 years old and to be worn with care as with all vintage footwear. 100% wearability cannot be guaranteed.
